Archive for month: April, 2008
April 26 we did Mathew and Becky’s Wedding. They got married at Wilson Vineyards and the weather was PERFECT. Our Bride was laughing all day and was as happy as she could be, our Groom had a permanent smile on his face, they were such a sweet down to earth couple. She was hilarious though. We got to work with Kim Martin with Christopher Kight Photography, we love her she is always a pleasure to work with as well, we are hoping for some awesome pics! Food was from Fresh and Quick Catering(the chicken was good) and of course Sandy with Wilsons was helping run the show too. Everything was beautiful and went perfect.
Here is what they choose for their specialty songs, you can pop in Itunes to hear them or you may already know them:

They had a Anniversary Dance and our winning couple was 53 years! They had their grand exit and everyone threw rose pedals at them and they left to Fly me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra. Here is a pic until we get more but I am so not a photographer so sorry it’s not totally awesome… Until next BLOG…
Last Friday we took new business pics with Rachelle with Rachelle Photography (Best Photog!) Anyways we had a blast she always has unusual setups and angles and is so creative. She will have a slide show up soon and I will link it but here’s a few. We threw our boys in for a few pics, they are so cute! Well enjoy, let us know what you think!
We are going to be a part of the Y-Me Breast Cancer walk. It is their 3rd Annual walk and Brandon has been the DJ and Emcee from the beginning and is going for his 3rd Year. The boys and I walked it last year and will be walking again this year. We would love anyone who wants to join our team to do so or if you can’t walk it with us then you can donate for our cause and help us reach our goal! Here is the link for our page:
We hope to see you there!
April 7, 2008 we were able to DJ for the California Health Department on the North Steps of the State Capitol. This is our second year there and we enjoy it very much. We get to not only DJ but we get to learn about what new changes that are happening to help California. We heard from Secretary Belshe (Secretary of California Health and Human Services) and Doctor Mark Horton (Director of the Department of Public Health) along with a few others. I got the chance to lead a short workout during the presentation because they could not find the person that was assigned to do it so I volunteered. I lead them in the “Cha Cha Slide”. They had 8th grade students from Saint Francis Junior High their so I asked them to help me out. We had all the attendees in their business suits doing the Cha Cha Slide it was great. The purpose was to help keep California healthy by exercise and eating healthy, what better way to work out but to dance.
It was nice to do a birthday party, they are always fun. She had it at her Grandpa’s house, it was a pool party. The weather was perfect and the kids had so much energy! We played games for the kids and they were so funny. We played limbo, water games, water balloon games, hula hoop games and potato sack races. The kids had a blast and we enjoyed making her day so much fun. Until next BLOG…
Last Tues. we went to the AFWPI Mixer at the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg, Ca. It is a Awesome venue. I have been hearing photographers bragging about it but we haven’t had a chance to DJ there yet… but we will this October for Josh and Natalie, such a sweet couple. We were able to see a few friends and were able to convince one of our favorite catering companies to come, Magpie caterers. I don’t want to list everyone we talked to, you know who you are but it was a great mixer, I won some Chocolate (in your face Ed 🙂 ). We got a chance to go to dinner with Julia Markel who is the VP of AFWPI and Doug, Doug and Dara with Music on the Move, Buzz and Sue Gallardo with Business Network Expo and a couple that we have worked with before but are new to the wedding industry in Sac. Daniel and Angie Coughlin. We had a lot of fun and it is always nice to talk to people you admire like Buzz, Sue, Doug’s, Dara and of course Julia. We enjoy these mixers a lot, we get to know other vendors in the industry and let people know we are here. Until next BLOG…
So we have been wanting to start a BLOG for a while and finally did it. We thought it would be a great way for other Brides and Grooms to see what our Brides and Grooms are doing for their weddings. Hopefully we can keep up to date on this. We will post our Events and what they chose for their specialty songs and a little about them. Let us know if their is anything you want to hear or know about. Hope to BLOG with you soon….
