Breast Cancer Walk

So Mother’s Day we spent most the day at Southside Park for the Y-Me Breast Cancer Walk which the name has been changed to Breast Cancer, Network of Strength. They are a awesome organization that give support for those who can’t wait for a cure. You name it and they help. We always enjoy doing this event every year, this was our third year. I got to lead their warm up which was a lot of fun, trying to get people pumped up for the walk. The boys and I walked in it again this year and my sisters walked with me (Shelby and Brittany, thanks!)

We did Jason and Amber’s Wedding May 10. They got married at the LDS Temple in Folsom, Ca and had the Reception at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints building. They were such a fun couple and had very close families. While we were there you can tell how close they were and how loved they were. We did a photo montage of pictures of them and it ran the whole night for people to watch it as they wanted. Here were their music selections:

Cake Cutting: Better Together by Jack Johnson

First Dance: Come What May by Ewain McCain and Nicole Kidman (Moulin Rouge)

Mother/Son Dance: Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole

Bouquet Toss: Just a Girl by No Doubt

Garter Toss: Do Ya Think I’m Sexy by Rod Stewart

They had a small program and her Grandpa sang and her Brother-in-law and his son sang as well. It is a tradition in their family so we provided microphones and music for that. It was fun to watch.

Leonardo DaVinci Mother/Son and Eastside Charter

Brandon was at Leonardo DaVinci Elementary School and I was at Eastside Charter Middle School May 9. They are always fun to do we have been doing both schools for a few years now and it’s always fun to go back. Brandon did their Mother/Son dance with games for them and dancing. Me I got to do their last dance and he kids had a blast! This was the beginning to a long weekend and it got kicked off to a great start.
