Matt and Dawn

On August 2nd we did Matt and Dawn’s wedding. So cute! They did a few things to customize their wedding including their intro into the reception. Here’s the video. A friend came & shot it and threw something together real quick but you’ll get the idea:

They also had a pre-recorded message for their guests during the Cocktail hour to thank them. We love it when brides and grooms customize their weddings, it makes it so fun for the guests and they never think of it as “just another wedding”. Matt and Dawn were AWESOME to work with. We met a few times to do their recording and to go over their moves for the intro into the reception.

They had their wedding reception at Mt. Vernon Winery in Auburn, so cute and nice. It’s all shaded so it’s perfect for an outside reception or wedding! We worked with Stones Cafe & Catering. Awesome guys! They also own a cafe in Davis, you should go check it out, super cute!

Here were their song choices:

Intro into Reception: Summer Nights from Grease the Movie

Cake Cutting: Cut the Cake by the Average White Band

First Dance: Lost in This Moment by Big & Rich

Mother/Daughter: Somebody’s Hero by Jamie O’Neil

Mother/Son: Blessed by Elton John

Bouquet Toss: Chapel of Love

Garter Toss: Bad to the Bone by George Thouroughgood

Last Dance: At Last by Etta James

Sky Diving

So in July we were finally able to go sky diving with Julia Markel (Vice-President) of the AFWPI. It was Julia, Mike Anderson with Creative Memories Ent. and myself. It was lots of fun to hang out with them. Here are a few pics of me landing and us on the plane going up. I had an interesting experience. My parachute strap snapped and we spun out of control. I wasn’t too worried since we had our reserve parachute. As we got it open and floated down to land I was relieved and told everyone that it was my retirement jump seeing that I have a wonderful husband and three beautiful kids I wanted to make it home to.

Sarah and Rob

On July 12th, we did Sarah and Rob’s Wedding at the North Ridge Country Club in Fair Oaks. They were the sweetest couple. I know we say that about all our couples but we really get the best Brides and Grooms. They are all unique in their own way and we remember things about each of their weddings. Sarah’s dress was gorgeous! They were a lot of fun to work with and their guests were a blast. They were part Italian so they had their dessert table in the back with all their cookies that a Aunt made for them. The room was beautiful in itself so we didn’t have to do anything as far as lighting goes. It had beautiful Chandeliers and tons of windows viewing the golf course. Their flowers were beautiful, they were done by Bill and Mary from Garden Wishes. Their photography was provided by Julia Wright of Ballantyne Designs. We should be getting a few picture from her soon. They also had a videographer who was very nice. Once we get their info I will add it. The staff at North Ridge Country Club was a pleasure and they were quick. Overall their wedding went smoothly and very nice. They has a sparkler send off that just ended the night perfectly.

Sons of the American Revolution

So we are super behind on our Blog so I am back tracking to July 4th. We did a event for the Sons of the American Revolution. The SAR is a historical, educational, and patriotic non-profit, United States 501(c)3, corporation that seeks to maintain and extend

*  the institutions of American freedom
*  an appreciation for true patriotism
*  a respect for our national symbols
*  the value of American citizenship
*  the unifying force of e pluribus unum that has created, from the people of many nations, one nation and one people.

They have meeting all over the US and go somewhere new every year. We were lucky they chose Sacramento this year and we were able to be a part of it. They had it at the Hyatt Downtown and as always they were a pleasure. Brandon got to enjoy the 4th with them and watch fireworks from the Capitol View Room.
