Danny and Melinda’s Dance-a-thon Wedding :)

Dance-a-holics! 🙂 September 19 we worked on behalf of Encore Entertainment for Danny and Melinda’s wedding. We don’t work for other company’s typically but we really like Chris and he had a last minute booking and we were available so we were happy to help out. We are glad we did, we were at the beautiful Lake Natoma Inn in Folsom in their Sierra Ballroom and man was it packed. We worked with Erin from there and she is always really sweet and nice to work with. The photographer was pretty much family, starting out her business. We were excited for her! Encore Entertainment also provided a Photo Booth which was a hit, here is a picture we took at the end of the night. 🙂

Encore Photo Booths

Everything was so beautiful and they are the sweetest and happiest couple. They are so in love and he just wants so badly to make her happy. It is the cutest thing ever. Their love story is amazing and funny… 🙂 Their guests were so intrigued by everything. We introduced the whole wedding party, sponsors and family members in the reception which was huge. Then we dismissed tables for the buffet line with Michael Jackson songs which was a lot of fun, everyone danced their way to the line. We had a photo montage for dinner as well that was provided by Encore Entertainment. Lastly we had open dancing for 4… yes 4 hours! We eventually had to kick them out. It was a long reception compared to the average reception but we had so many guests still there at the end of the night. Thanks Danny, Melinda and Chris for letting us be a part of your special day! Here are their songs:

Wedding Party Introduced: Bust a Move by Young MC

Cake Cutting: How Sweet it is (to be loved by you) by James Taylor

First Dance: A Whole New World from Aladdin

DJ and Nicole’s Vintage 50’s Theme Wedding!!

DJ and Nicole's Vintage 50's Wedding

What a FABULOUS WEDDING!!! DJ and Nicole, we LOVE YOU! This adorable couple were married September 18 on the Delta King whose staff is always amazing, much love to them. Jenny is always fun to work with too and we really work great together. 🙂 Everything was perfect all the way down to the decor. Nicole worked sooo hard to make sure everything was in order. We loved the centerpieces, table number cards (which were records), her dress, just everything really. We had delicious cupcakes from Cupcake Craving, they were super cute. They had their initials and were pink and black (which was the color scheme). They were ooozzzing with filling. We worked with the wonderful Ben and Lauren Jenkins of Vida Mia Photography. What a great great couple, between DJ, Nicole, Brandon, Ben, Lauren and I we just couldn’t stop laughing. It was such a lively wedding! Here’s some of their pics, very nice!

We planned with DJ and Nicole quite a bit 😉 and did a lot of fun things. Dinner was served so to keep their guests entertained we did some trivia about DJ and Nicole, and to our surprise a lot of their guest knew the answers. We did some raffles too which is different but DJ put a lot of effort in picking out the prizes and was very excited. The favors were small martini shakers with 50’s candy in it and their raffle tickets (So FUN!). They also wanted to do a customized first dance which I am sure you have all seen where they start with their song and it breaks into a more upbeat song. They chose 1,2,3,4 by the Plain White Tee’s and it transitioned into Candy Man by Christina Aguilera (to stick to the 50’s rockabilly type music). We tried to help them do some steps but at the end of it they said, “We are going to wing it!” which they did and had their guests screaming and cheering the whole time. I was worried DJ may throw Nicole through the window, hehehe…

Jill and Ken’s James Bond Beach Wedding!

Ken and Jill's Ceremony on a beach in Lake Tahoe

How fun these two were! Ken and Jill had no detail was over looked. All the small touches were so cute and added so much character and expressed their personality. To name a few of my favorites were the basket of flip flops for all the guest for the ceremony, the buckets with flowers hanging on the ceremony seats, hats they made for all their guests and the small lantern bags that lined the dock. I took these pictures so not awesome but you get the idea. 🙂 Oh and he is Danish so they also had traditional Danish cake along with a traditional wedding cake. Oh and they had picture frames with pictures of them at all the different cities they have been together, I LOVED that! Sorry I am just way excited now that I’m writing and remembering everything.

We met Jill and Ken once and planned by email and phone since they didn’t live here. They chose to have a destination wedding in Lake Tahoe at the Round Hill Pines Beach and Marina on September 12. It was beautiful, this was our first time there and it was fantastic. We loved Frank, he was so great to work with and they maintain their venue beautifully. Our weather was off and on, it sprinkled and stopped a few times during set up but it stayed clear for the ceremony which was perfect. (The bride before got rained on) We worked with all new vendors, Harrah’s Casino and Hotel catered the event and the food was gorgeous, almost too pretty to eat. Our officiant who was awesome was Reverend Sharon Rusk. She did a phenomenal job, it was a flawless ceremony. We loved being a part of this wedding so much. Ken and Jill have a lot of close friends and family and they really really enjoyed the night. When the hats came out that they made for everyone, we couldn’t get them out fast enough! Here were their song choices:

Oh here’s their hats!!
