Matt and Amber by Cynthia Ahr Photography

Matt and Amber are the most down to earth, spiritual people we have had the opportunity to work with. Plus they are just too cute! We just adore them and their love and commitment to each other and to God. I’m not going to lie, we got teary eyed during the ceremony. They are humble, kind, passionate and full of love. Their wedding took place last August in a family friends backyard, it was such a beautiful home. The Ceremony took place in the backyard, the Cocktail Hour in the front yard (while the back was being flipped for the Reception) and then the Reception back in the backyard.

Amber and Matt wanted to include everyone in their wedding. To date, they have had the largest ceremony processional we have ever seen. When couples tell us their wedding party is big, we always ask how big because no one has beat their wedding yet. Totally: 36. We had 8 family members to be seated, 28 wedding party members (5 Junior Bridesmaids, 10 Bridesmaids, 10 Groomsmen, 2 Flower girls and 1 Ring bearer) and then the two of them. What we loved about this wedding was how in depth the ceremony was. It wasn’t just “let’s get it over with”, it was intimate, meaningful and spiritual. They didn’t want to exclude anyone, hence the larger wedding party. Anyone and everyone they loved they wanted there and a part of it all. During the Ceremony they had 4 friends (who have amazing talents and voices) sing and play music for different parts of the ceremony. They had a reading and then communion for everyone, not just the two of them. It was one of the nicest Ceremonies we have been a part of.

Did we mention how awesome their family and guests were?? Both sets of parents were so incredibly nice and accommodating. They have raised some amazing children. They are so close and caring of each other, it was just nice to see.

These pictures in the post were by Cynthia of Cynthia Ahr Photography. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. The pictures totally captured the essence of Matt and Amber. The picture with her walking barefoot and Matt holding her train described them perfectly in my opinion. He is very caring and loving of her and she is free spirited (I don’t think she wore shoes the whole night). Love it! Oh and the sunflowers, lots of sunflowers which were very fitting of them.

Sacramento Wedding DJ ~ Jennifer and Ryan’s Sweet River Wedding on the Delta King

Jenn and Ryan were married a little over a year ago on the infamous date of 10-10-10. I had this sitting in my drafts and wondered why I never posted it so here it is! They were the sweetest couple, with the cutest baby. They had the best photographer, best video company and the wonderful Delta King (and Jenny); we could not ask for a better day! These two were adorable themselves, then add their adorable baby and the whole day oozed of adorableness! Is that a word? Jenn is a nurse and Ryan works with computers; so it only made sense that the favors for their wedding guests were first aid kits and flash drives. :) These two keep busy but managed to still plan a stunning wedding.

We had Rachelle with Rachelle Photography taking awesome pictures. We just adore her! Phillip Alan Films provided the videography for the wedding. Below is their short film. We love it!

Of course the Delta King and staff are rockin’ like always! Jenny with the Delta King continued to bend over backwards (like she always does) to make sure Jen and Ryan’s Wedding was all they hoped it would be. We loved getting to know these two and their adorable daughter. Thanks Guys for letting us share in your special day!

Sound Image Entertainment - Autism AwarenessAutism is something near and dear to our hearts here at Sound Image Entertainment. We have many friends and even family members that are affected by Autism. For those of you that don’t know what Autism is, here is a wonderful description from Autismspeaks.org:

“Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and autism are both general terms for a group of complex disorders of brain development. These disorders are characterized, in varying degrees, by difficulties in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication and repetitive behaviors. They include autistic disorder, Rett syndrome, childhood disintegrative disorder, pervasive developmental disorder-not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS) and Asperger syndrome. ASD can be associated with intellectual disability, difficulties in motor coordination and attention and physical health issues such as sleep and gastrointestinal disturbances. Some persons with ASD excel in visual skills, music, math and art.”

Some scary stats show how that in the 1970′s Autism was 1 in 10,000 children and now it’s 1 in 88 children. That is terrifying. AutismSpeaks.com reports, “By comparison, this is more children than are affected by diabetes, AIDS, cancer, cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy or Down syndrome – combined.”

We here at Sound Image Entertainment want to give back and bring awareness to Autism. It may not be much but every effort counts. For all of our events we book in the month of April we will be giving 10% of our booking fees to AutismSpeaks.org. We hope to bring more education and support in fighting Autism. Please join us in the fight for Autism! If you are not needing to book a DJ, you can always donate your time or money directly to AutismSpeaks.org here.

Help spread the word also: Tweet it, Share it, Like it, (+) it and Pin this post to help to spread the word about Autism Awareness month!

Jenn and Randy at the Ryde Hotel by Lori Makabe

So excited we got the chance to work with Jenn and Randy at the Ryde Hotel in Walnut Grove, CA this last year. When we met with Jenn we just couldn’t help but smile and feel her fun, bubbly and super sweet personality. She was so fun to work with. Randy is such a great guy, we couldn’t be happier that the two of them found each other. Our couples all go together like puzzle pieces, it’s great!

As you can see by their theme it was very fitting for the Ryde Hotel. It is such a fun, unique place. The staff there is awesome too! We had the pleasure of working with Lori Makabe of Lori Makabe Photography. She was so wonderful and sent these beautiful pictures to share with all of you. I loved Jenn’s dress and Randy looked very sharp in his zoot suit.
