Matt and Amber’s Big Fat Backyard Wedding! {Private Residence}
Matt and Amber are the most down to earth, spiritual people we have had the opportunity to work with. Plus they are just too cute! We just adore them and their love and commitment to each other and to God. I’m not going to lie, we got teary eyed during the ceremony. They are humble, kind, passionate and full of love. Their wedding took place last August in a family friends backyard, it was such a beautiful home. The Ceremony took place in the backyard, the Cocktail Hour in the front yard (while the back was being flipped for the Reception) and then the Reception back in the backyard.
Amber and Matt wanted to include everyone in their wedding. To date, they have had the largest ceremony processional we have ever seen. When couples tell us their wedding party is big, we always ask how big because no one has beat their wedding yet. Totally: 36. We had 8 family members to be seated, 28 wedding party members (5 Junior Bridesmaids, 10 Bridesmaids, 10 Groomsmen, 2 Flower girls and 1 Ring bearer) and then the two of them. What we loved about this wedding was how in depth the ceremony was. It wasn’t just “let’s get it over with”, it was intimate, meaningful and spiritual. They didn’t want to exclude anyone, hence the larger wedding party. Anyone and everyone they loved they wanted there and a part of it all. During the Ceremony they had 4 friends (who have amazing talents and voices) sing and play music for different parts of the ceremony. They had a reading and then communion for everyone, not just the two of them. It was one of the nicest Ceremonies we have been a part of.
Did we mention how awesome their family and guests were?? Both sets of parents were so incredibly nice and accommodating. They have raised some amazing children. They are so close and caring of each other, it was just nice to see.
These pictures in the post were by Cynthia of Cynthia Ahr Photography. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. The pictures totally captured the essence of Matt and Amber. The picture with her walking barefoot and Matt holding her train described them perfectly in my opinion. He is very caring and loving of her and she is free spirited (I don’t think she wore shoes the whole night). Love it! Oh and the sunflowers, lots of sunflowers which were very fitting of them.
Overall we just loved being a part of their wedding and so grateful we had some time to get to know them and their family. I wanted to end the post and thank them for letting us be a part of their special day and with some really fun pictures!
