Sacramento Wedding DJ ~ Jennifer and Ryan’s Sweet River Wedding on the Delta King

Sacramento Wedding DJ

Jenn and Ryan were married a little over a year ago on the infamous date of 10-10-10. I had this sitting in my drafts and wondered why I never posted it so here it is! They were the sweetest couple, with the cutest baby. They had the best photographer, best video company and the wonderful Delta King (and Jenny); we could not ask for a better day! These two were adorable themselves, then add their adorable baby and the whole day oozed of adorableness! Is that a word? Jenn is a nurse and Ryan works with computers; so it only made sense that the favors for their wedding guests were first aid kits and flash drives. :) These two keep busy but managed to still plan a stunning wedding.

We had Rachelle with Rachelle Photography taking awesome pictures. We just adore her! Phillip Alan Films provided the videography for the wedding. Below is their short film. We love it!

Of course the Delta King and staff are rockin’ like always! Jenny with the Delta King continued to bend over backwards (like she always does) to make sure Jen and Ryan’s Wedding was all they hoped it would be. We loved getting to know these two and their adorable daughter. Thanks Guys for letting us share in your special day!

Paddlewheel room at the Delta King

November 28 at the beautiful Delta King we had the opportunity to provide ambient lighting for Mike and Debra. These two wanted nothing but the best for their wedding and guests. This was a second marriage for both of them and you could tell they really found true love this time. They wanted everyone to feel how happy and in love they were by the atmosphere and ambience; they didn’t hold back.

We only provided services for the Ceremony which took place downstairs in the Mark Twain Salon. It is a beautiful, unique room on the bottom of the boat but it’s a little dark and is not uniform in it’s shape. It also has an air conditioning unit that is placed in the front of the room where the Ceremony was to take place. Mike and Debra wanted to add some soft ambient lighting to customize it to their colors while complimenting their chair covers and drapes but keep the uniqueness of the room. This room was transformed, it was intimate and full of all their closest family and friends. We did lighting while Mimi & Co. provided chair covers and drapes on the front wall to cover the un-uniformed room. It was a large wedding; between the two of them they have 10 kids! It will be a fun merge of two families. We didn’t provide services for the Reception which was in the Paddlewheel room but I wanted to add a few pictures of all the gorgeous linens by Mimi & Co. We love how they customize all their linens and the fun, funky ways they make linens talk to you. Here are their lighting pictures and a few from the reception:

It wasn’t too long ago we met Mike and Debra at the Delta King’s: Fall into your Wedding Plans Open House earlier this month. We were there with their photographer Andre and Irene with Eye Connoisseur, Jenny from the Delta King and Mimi & Co. They had already booked Eye Connoisseur, Jenny and Mimi & Co. but not lighting. We were able to show them what we could do for them while brainstorming with their whole team. We went over different ideas and ways to make the rooms pop.

A few shout outs to the awesome vendors who made this happen. Jenny with the Delta King is ALWAYS so amazing and willing to do all she can to help all her clients out. Along with the Delta King staff for making the delicious Hors d’oeuvres, serving them and setting up. Always pleasant! :) We also had the chance to work with the hilarious and feisty Peggy Brown, Harpist. We have met her and heard wonderful things and she is so sweet and fun. She truly is a talented lady. She played for the Ceremony and the whole Reception which added to the feel of the day. Another first was Andre and Irene with Eye Connoisseur Photography. We have known them forever (it seems) but hadn’t had the opportunity to work with them until now. It was great to see the flawless way they communicated and helped each other. We saw a few engagement pictures and they just made Mike and Debra glow. We are excited to see the rest. Here’s a few more pictures of different colors of lighting:

DJ and Nicole's Vintage 50's Wedding

What a FABULOUS WEDDING!!! DJ and Nicole, we LOVE YOU! This adorable couple were married September 18 on the Delta King whose staff is always amazing, much love to them. Jenny is always fun to work with too and we really work great together. :) Everything was perfect all the way down to the decor. Nicole worked sooo hard to make sure everything was in order. We loved the centerpieces, table number cards (which were records), her dress, just everything really. We had delicious cupcakes from Cupcake Craving, they were super cute. They had their initials and were pink and black (which was the color scheme). They were ooozzzing with filling. We worked with the wonderful Ben and Lauren Jenkins of Vida Mia Photography. What a great great couple, between DJ, Nicole, Brandon, Ben, Lauren and I we just couldn’t stop laughing. It was such a lively wedding! Here’s some of their pics, very nice!

We planned with DJ and Nicole quite a bit ;) and did a lot of fun things. Dinner was served so to keep their guests entertained we did some trivia about DJ and Nicole, and to our surprise a lot of their guest knew the answers. We did some raffles too which is different but DJ put a lot of effort in picking out the prizes and was very excited. The favors were small martini shakers with 50′s candy in it and their raffle tickets (So FUN!). They also wanted to do a customized first dance which I am sure you have all seen where they start with their song and it breaks into a more upbeat song. They chose 1,2,3,4 by the Plain White Tee’s and it transitioned into Candy Man by Christina Aguilera (to stick to the 50′s rockabilly type music). We tried to help them do some steps but at the end of it they said, “We are going to wing it!” which they did and had their guests screaming and cheering the whole time. I was worried DJ may throw Nicole through the window, hehehe…

Kay and Dwayne at the Delta King

Sweet sweet couple, they were married August 15! Kay and Dwayne don’t live locally so all of our planning was email and over the phone. We didn’t get to meet them till their rehearsal! We love the Delta King with Jenny and all her staff so we are always excited to work there but this time was extra fun. Jenny at the Delta King is awesome and sends her brides and grooms to great vendors. Since Kay was out of town it was hard to meet people and chose vendors but it was great Jenny had a wonderful list for her. We had some amazing vendors! The Captain from the Delta King married them which is always fun, he always does a great job! They had a friend play the keyboard for some of the processionals, sounded amazing out there. We also got to work with the fabulous Jennifer and gang from the Memory Journalists. We have seen them around and finally got to work with them! They lived up to their reputation. :) Here are a few pics from them, so beautiful. Also here was their song choices:

We did this couples wedding November, they got married at the beautiful Delta King Hotel. We love going there, Jenny is so wonderful. Anyways, we booked them just three weeks out from their wedding. They were having trouble with their DJ and needed a new one. We always hate to hear stories like that and unfortunately we hear them too often. Hiring a DJ shouldn’t be scary, it should be fun and exciting. It’s the time that you get to plan out all the fun details about the events of the night! It’s where you get to customize that night to the two of you! Anyways back to the wedding. We had the Ceremony and Reception inside. Family did flowers and photography. Their guests were fun and they were so great together. Here were their song choices:

Processionals: They provided their own, it was used at one of his family’s weddings

Bridal Processional: Bridal Chorus

Recessional: CD Provided

Intro: Love Story by Taylor Swift

First Dance: I Cross my Heart by George Strait

Father/Daughter: Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carslie

Mother/Son: A Song for Mama by Boyz II Men

Cake Cutting: Johnny and June by Heidi Newfeild

Bouquet Toss: Friends in Low Places by Garth Brooks

Garter Toss: Baby Got Back by Sir Mix a Lot

Last Dance: Love Story by Taylor Swift
