Reinhard and Kristen

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

I know, I know I have been slacking but here is a whole bunch of posts. I am playing catch up on the last few months. We have been so busy with getting ready for our busy time that I haven’t took the time to Blog. So much has been going on….

Ok I first am going to start with Reinhard and Kristen’s Wedding. They were married March 14. What an amazing wedding. To give you a little background about our bride and groom, he is from Austria and she is from Sacramento. They met in Austria while she was playing Softball for college and he was playing baseball. He was a catcher and she was a pitcher, it was like a match made in heaven. The theme was baseball oriented, the tables were named after baseball teams and their intro was to The Hey Song/Baseball Theme song. Everything was so beautiful. We did lighting which added so much and made it more intimate and also pulled in their wedding colors.

Kristen and Reinhard were married at a church and had their Reception at the Vizcaya Pavilion and Mansion. It’s like we have been there all month! Their photograpers were the wonderful Chuck and Mackenzie Roberts of Chuck Roberts Photgraphy. They are so great to work with and so fun. I am excited to see their pictures. Their Videograhpers were Cael and Diana with Reel to Reel Productions. We have worked with them before a long time ago but forgot how sweet they were. We are exicted to see their work as well. Here’s their song choices:

Groomsmens Intro song: Men in Black by Will Smith

Bridesmaids Intro song: RESPECT by Aretha Franklin

Bride and Groom Intro song: Baseball Theme Song/Hey song

Cake Cutting: I Can’t Help Myslef (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch) by The Temptations

First Dance: Everything I do by Bryan Adams

Father/Daughter dance: My Wish by Rascal Flatts

Mother/Son dance: Traditional Waltz

Bouquet Toss: Ain’t no Other Man by Christina Aguilera

Garter Toss Removal: Can’t get Enough of Your Love by Barry White

Garter Toss Throw: American Woman by Lenny Kravitz

Recognition Dinner for AFWPI

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

So Tuesday February 3 we had our Recognition Dinner for Association for Wedding Professionals Int. It was AMAZING! I first want to give Jenny with Sun City Roseville kudos for all her hard work, she was so great to work with. This was the first time we had the pleasure to work with her and she is so devoted to what she does, she puts her all in to it. She also did a dessert buffet which was amazing, I will have to add pictures when we get some! Mike Anderson with Creative Memories Entertainment was the Emcee and he did a phenomenal job. He also did all the uplighting inside. This event was so great to be a part of, it’s not often you get numerous vendors in every category to work together to pull off this large of an event. I think their were 5 of us DJ companies setting up and running the event with Mike. It was so great to be a part of it. We got to do some lighting in the entry way here’s a few pictures below. Oh and a side note I was blessed to win the Team Spirit Award, I was so surprised and grateful to be considered. I also received the associations Vice President Julias’ 82nd Airborne pin from her dad. Long story short it was for going sky diving with her, you can search the blog for the story. I was so touched and honored to receive it.

The decorators Cathy with Visual Impact Design, Shannon with Flourish, Darcie with Slip of Elegance and Jenny and her staff at Sun City Roseville made the room look outstanding! Wow, with Mike’s lighting and their decor it made the event. Phill with Sheffield Multimedia who did all the video, commercials and clips also was fantastic. He has a way with capturing your attention and keeping it, we love his work and know how hard he works too. Anyone would be lucky to book him and we promise you he would do all he could to make your video amazing, it’s so worth it. Also Jessica with Scarlet Design and Invitation Consulting did our invites, I loved them soooo much. I know this is kinda long so I will stop but we had so many wonderful vendors working this event to make it the success it was. I will for sure add pictures when I get them.

New LED Lighting!

Friday, January 30th, 2009

We just got some new LED up lighting. What does that mean you say? It means we can provide uplighting and ambiance lighting that can be much more versatile. Colors can be changed within seconds, and our ambiance lighting can even be sound activated (change to the beat of the music). You can also have alot more light without having to worry about using much electricity. This is alos our way of going GREEN! Here are a few pics of some of the lighting, we were messing around in our front room with them.
