These two were happily married in July at a little Catholic church in downtown Sacramento, Saint Elizabeth’s Catholic Church. It was so cute and quaint. They had a family Priest that had married all of Richard’s family before him marry them and kept the tradition going. These two were so fun to work with, we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them! They are so genuine and responsible and funny, all our planning sessions wee full of laughter.

We had the luxury of going from place to place with API Limousine. Dani was so professional and accommodating! Made the day flow easily and got us to everywhere we needed to be. The Reception was held at the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria, such a gorgeous building. Please enjoy all these pictures (except the lighting one, we did that) courtesy of their wonderful photographers CinZo Photography. They also had some delicious food from Hannibal’s Catering. We had a lot of fun with their whole awesome wedding party! They had quite the entrance, the room is very long and they all got to walk it. The wedding party had to keep the energy in the room till Richard and Andrea entered and I think they did an awesome job! We did little blurbs about each person and a mini love story about Richard and Andrea. It really made it intimate and helped all the guests get to each each person in the wedding party with some laughter.

So many fun things and details about their wedding. We provided some basic soft amber and soft rose uplighting to enhance the building and a photo montage. They are not as popular as they use to be but if you are sentimental they are a really great touch. Everyone was in tears, a great way to re-live memories and to see their lives before they were brought together. One of my favorite little details was the favors. Richard’s aunt made oreo pops for everyone. So cute and man did she put A LOT of work and detail into everyone.

We are so grateful for all our clients and the relationships we make with them all. These two are no excpetion! I mentioned after her wedding it felt like we broke up cause we talked, emailed, texted so much prior to the wedding and it ended. :) Thank you Richard and Andrea for letting us be a part of your lives for such a special day.

Jenny and Justin ~ Bella Vista B&B beach in the back

Jenny and Justin ~ Bella Vista B&B beach in the back

Adorable couple, adorable venue, adorable details, just an all around adorable wedding! Justin and Jenny were from SoCal and planned their wedding here where Jenny grew up. Jenny worked so hard on top of all the schooling she’s doing and working to make sure every detail was perfect, handmade and adorable. They were married in May and though we were concerned with the weather we have been having this year the weather could not have been more perfect!

This was the first time we were at the gorgeous Bella Vista Bed and Breakfast. This place has so many options and the view cannot be beat! We got to use multiple spots that they have available which I think helps with the flow and no one gets bored for being in one spot too long. Beth Sogaard Catering also did a scrumptious job on keeping the guests well feed. Everyone ranted and raved, it was so delish! Their staff was so helpful and so flexible (which is important at weddings). They went above and beyond. Here are some shots of the venue with them thanks to their photographer Laurie Alves with Osare Photography. They turned out awesome!

The color scheme was so fun and made the venue pop. Their candy station was tied into the theme, I loved all the little details Jenny and Justin handmade to let their guests know how much they mean to them. During their Ceremony Jenny’s uncle married them, he was hilarious and rally added a personal touch. They even grew mini pots of plants as favors for each guest. Their wedding party was awesome! So helpful and it didn’t hurt they were all beautiful. Their pictures of their group shots are so fun!

Jenny and Ian, Married! {Croatian American Cultural Center}

Jenny and Ian at Croatian American Cultural Center

Watching these two and how in love they are was so amazing. Ian adores Jenny and you see it as he stares at her. Sarah with Sarah Maren Photography captured their love in time. She is one of the funnest photographers to work with. She is so easy going and adds comfort to the bride and groom which is appreciated I am sure. By the end of your wedding you are normally done taking pictures and your face hurts from smiling so much. She just makes it fun and funky, we love that!

Jenny and Ian had Rev. Edward J. Donaghy officiate their wedding. He did great and is very diverse is what he can offer. We really enjoyed working with him and his professionalism. We also did some basic uplighting in purple for them which really pulled in their color scheme. Purple seems to be the color scheme for this year. :) Jenny and Ian were married at the unique Croatian American Cultural Center. Mike there is so detailed oriented and truly wants his clients to enjoy their day. He has put a lot of work in remodeling the already beautiful venue to add so much more for his clients.  The staff there really tries to go above and beyond and are so helpful. We enjoy working there when we get the chance.

So fun ideas they had for the night were the “Shoely Wed Game” where the couple sits back to back with one of each others shoe. Then the DJ asks a question, “Who’s more likely to…” and they hold the shoe up who they think it is. This is always fun when we do this at weddings, they did very well. Also for their garter toss, Ian removed it and put it around a football to throw. That always gets the single guys involved and more determined to catch the garter. We genuinely enjoyed working with them and getting to know them. Jenny was so organized and knew what she wanted and Ian was so supportive and easy going. It’s always a sad time when we finish planning couples weddings and they are over. We don’t get to see them and plan with them. But we are grateful for the memories, every wedding it different and unique in it’s own way.

Sacramento Wrestling Federation ~ The Seth Fengel Benefit Show

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011

This event is dear to my heart since it is on behalf of my brother. Seth is one of the most wonderful, kindest, caring people I know. He loved with all his heart, anyone and everyone. We are excited to be a part of this event to take a day to remember him and raise money for his headstone. All additional proceeds will be going to charity on his behalf. Seth was always giving back to the hospitals to comfort those there since he knew how it felt. He was an amazing example to all of us.

Seth Fengel Benefit Show - Sacramento Wrestling Federation

Excerpt from Sacramento Wrestling Federation, “The Sacramento Wrestling Federation in conjunction with Sound Image Entertainment proudly presents “September 2 Remember” – The Seth Fengel Benefit Show. This special benefit show will feature 8 exciting wrestling matches including our main event as “Big Country” Jody Kristofferson takes on Dylan Drake for the SWF Heavyweight Championship. Proceeds from this event go to the family of Seth Fengel to purchase a headstone for his gravesite.”

Thank you to all who choose to support this very worthy cause. Visit www.sacramentowrestling.com and www.sethfengel.com for more details on the event and the young man to whom this show benefits.”

Why does Josh Edlow, President/Owner of Sacramento Wrestling Federation do these events? He has an amazing story so take a moment to visit his website to learn more about how it all began but here is a quote from Josh, “This is my home, and this community has been so supportive of me throughout my life, that it is time for me to give back.” In 2011, the Sacramento Wrestling Federation will bring this unique fundraising opportunity to local high schools in California’s capital city. “We are excited to bring an innovative, fun filled, action-packed event that will draw the masses and bring much needed attention and funds to ailing youth programs.”

Here are some pictures from their last event “Clash at the Colonial” for the UC Davis Hospital. It was a blast and our boys LOVED it! We hope to see you at the next one..

Susan and Hans uniquely fun Flower Farm Wedding {Flower Farm B&B}

Hans and Susan at Flower Farm Inn

Hans and Susan at Flower Farm Inn

When we first met with Hans and Susan we were excited to get to know them more. Both of them are so full of love for everyone and everything around them. They give back so much not because they have to but because they want to! That is such a rarity these days. They both spend time volunteering and have adopted many dogs to give good loving home to. Six if I remember correctly! Both Hans and Susan have unique talents which Hans shared with us on his wedding day with his special Martial Art performances along with his group. We got to enjoy their Lion Dance and individual dances as well. It really added a unique fun twist for the guests to enjoy. Hans and Susan are not ones to be in the spot light but on your wedding day this is difficult to avoid. So with the special performances it took some of the pressure off of them. Hans only performed for his lovely wife Susan because she enjoys watching him perform. :)

So many things to talk about their wedding so I will try my best to not go on and on. First off they were married is April at the quaint and adorable Flower Farm Inn in Loomis, CA. I love all the little details, their website describes them as “a rare combination of country charm and sophisticated elegance.” I couldn’t have said it better myself.

During the Ceremony they had some swordsmen a part of his group from Eastern Ways participate. It was such a dramatic entrance, all the guests enjoyed it. Also during the Reception these very talented and well disciplined performers performed a Lion Dance, it was so energetic and kicked off the Reception just right! We can thank the awesome Jenn Bartell with Jenn Bartell Photography and Design for all the awesome pictures in this post. Love her fun, funky and creative style. She fit their style to a T.

Lastly I wanted to make sure I mention their cake. Their ridiculously awesome, sentimental cake that the talented team at Sweet Cakes by Rebecca did for them. So with their 6 wonderful dogs that are their family that couldn’t be there, they had the cake designed to include their adorable family so they can share part in their day. These dogs are like their babies and they love them dearly. I just have a picture of the top of their cake before we packed it up at the end of the night with all the dogs put on top from my iPhone and a picture of their reaction when they saw it for the first time. So precious!
