Aaron + Jetty

We couldn’t have hand pick a better woman for Aaron. We absolutely adore Jetty and are so glad they decided to be married. These two are so fun and truly love being with each other. They laugh, they cry, they make silly pictures of each other;  just overall are just a perfect pair. We were so grateful to be a part of their special day and union as husband and wife.

The Ceremony took place at a little church in Rocklin, Old Saint Mary’s Chapel. It is part of the Rocklin Historical Society and has so much history. It’s also very cute! We had never been there before but were excited to find this hidden gem.

The rest of the Reception took place at the Placer Event Center not too far from the Ceremony. They packed the place with all their family and friends to share in their special day. Their families are so wonderful and Jetty’s side was a lot of fun! Jetty’s brother did some amazing food. He is a caterer located in San Jose and everyone raved about it! Their wedding party were great as well, they helped them put together a Flash Mob during the Reception. Here’s a little clip, it’s from my phone so not awesome but you get the picture:

We also got some Photo Booth fun!

Thanks to John Tuns of John Tuns Photography we have these pictures in the post to summarize their special day. Now Aaron and Jetty have combined their two adorable families and now are a family of one. Jetty has some amazing boys who absolutely adore her. We loved getting to know them and see their happiness for their mom. Aaron kids are so smart and adorable but I could be a little bias. ;) We are so happy for them and wish them many many years of happiness. Thanks Aaron and Jetty for letting us be a part of your special day!

Jessica and Bobby’s “berry” sweet wedding {Croatian American Cultural Center}

Sacramento Wedding

Bobby and Jessica looking cute

Bobby and Jessica has such a beautiful and romantic wedding. From the flowers and berries to the candles and lighting to the soft color scheme, everything was planned out perfect. Jessica’s father has a berry farm so I thought it was adorable how they tied it into the wedding. Their florist Vicky with Bella Bloom Flowers helped make their theme and ideas come to life through their flowers. She is so sweet and wonderful to work with. She is so creative and her work is some of the best!

The Croatian American Cultural Center where the Reception was held is just beautiful. It is a hidden treasure. Mike Zupan, the owner has done some amazing work in his fairly recent remodel. He can seem a little intimidating but he loves his couples and goes above and beyond trying to make them happy. Plus his displays of food are over the top along with their awesome staff, love working with all of them!

We also got to work with the fabulous Meagan with Christopher Kight Photographers. We just adore her and these pics she shared with us are just gorgeous. Thanks Meagan! I love how she captured the romantic setting of the whole room and her soft pictures, it’s like we are there all over again.

Bobby and Jessica's first dance

Jessica and Bobby are just adorable like I said. All their toasts done by family and friends were just heart touching. You just felt these two are meant for each other (Bobby made me a little teary eyes with his toast). We loved working with the two of them, they had a vision and we were so glad we could be a part of it all. Most of the night was a calm, peaceful and warm. But when dancing started, the rest of the party started. Bobby and Jessica were determined to have a few hours of just dancing, I believe the Reception alone was 7 hours.

FAV! Jessica getting ready for her bouquet toss

We loved their head table, it’s raised up and a perfect focal point for all the guests to see them and their awesome wedding party (they rocked, really great group of friends they have). Mike has an amazing mural behind the head table area and though it is beautiful, it doesn’t always fit with couples themes and decor. When chatting with Jessica and Bobby we went over some different options and decided on pipe and draping behind the head table and add some soft romantic lights to accent it. We love how it turned out!

Andrella and Brandy: “The Experience”

Sacramento Wedding

So cute! By Chuck Roberts Photography

We could not be happier for these two! Andrella and Brandy were married last September at Orchard Creek Lodge in Lincoln, CA. We love everything about them; their genuine love for each other, how they support and uplift one another, their smiles and infectious laughs and the chance they gave us to share in their wedding day. :) Andrella and Brandy put a lot of time and effort into planning their wedding. We helped with a lot of fun things with these two to customize their wedding.

Sacramento Wedding

Their cute family, Jay was such a cutie!

Sacramento Wedding

Smiles and laughs. You can't help but look at them and be happy!

First off, the colors. LOVED what they picked out, the blue looked beautiful on both of them. Mackenzie and Chuck of Chuck Roberts Photography got some amazing shots and really pulled out their personalities. We love the true essence of their pictures. Out blog posts would be nothing without our wonderful photographers who share their pictures and “artwork”.

Jumping the broom!

Introductions were a blast, each member of the wedding party had their own song and they owned it! Andrella and Brandy’s wedding party was AWESOME, so fun to work with and did a great job building up the energy in the room. Their little boy Jay was such a cutie with his “Teach Me How to Dougie”. When Andrella and Brandy entered they rocked out “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough” from the Michael Jackson: The Experience video game. We used Orchard Creek’s two video screens to project the game and the two of them rocked it. They didn’t miss a beat.

These next pictures are some of our favorite. Their first dance. We did a little lighting and love how it accented their first dance. We also put a slideshow together of the two of them and played in on the video screens again in the background of their first dance. It was such a romantic and teary eyed moment.

Towards the end of the day we enjoyed a little dancing and a soul train. Overall a really fun wedding from last year. We appreciate all the hard work all the other vendors put into it especially Orchard Creek Lodge, Meghan and Don are just some of the best. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. We don’t ever hear no there, it’s always lets see what we can do. We couldn’t have such fantastic weddings without the full staff of professionals hired. Oh, did we mention it was brunch so we got to eat their delicious breakfast food! If you haven’t been out there for brunch check it out.

Seth and Tara after being announced

Seth and Tara after being announced by Amyx Photography

Portal-tastic is all we can say! Seth and Tara were so fun to work with. It started with a small idea and grew. Seth and Tara both love the game “Portal” and wanted to incorporate it in small ways. The first thing was their Save the Date, they had Gawker artist Sam Spratt create their art work for their Save the Date. Check out more about it here or become a fan on FB. It really fit their quirky personalities.

They had so many fun things, some of our favorites were their boutonnieres. They had hand made paper bouquets and comic book boutonnieres, we loved it! The more we talked to them the more we tied the game into their wedding.  We incorporated the finale song at the end of the game into their recessional. Just a small instrumental part that is actually beautiful and those that understood it was from the game had a chuckle, others just enjoyed it. Before the ceremony they had passed out rocks as guests entered and during the ceremony they gathered them. Here is a excerpt from their actual ceremony (they wrote it all themselves) in regards to the rocks:

“Before you met, your lives were on different paths with different destinations. But love has brought you together and joined these separate paths into one. Each one of your friends and family here today have been given a small polished stone that represents their unique individuality and their presence at your wedding today… I will now ask that everyone please take out the stone you have been given and pause to make a wish or blessing for happiness and good will for the couple for the future of their marriage. Now, we will collect the stones and the couple will then add their individual stones to the container as well. With the combining of these stones, you have now symbolically joined your once separate lives.  As the stones have been combined with love into one container, so now are your friends and family joined, through you, into one. And your once solitary life’s paths are also now one. All that was once separate is now shared, and in this sharing you both will find new strength and joy as together you forge a new life path and destination.”

They did a lot of DYI things which we think they pulled off well! Oh the ring pillow was the portal cube, it was awesome too. We did some lighting at their wedding. We choose a soft amber to accent the unique characteristics of the Sequoia Restaurant. This building is filled with so much history and it’s so much more than a restaurant. Tawnia the event coordinator at the Sequoia is a rock star! She was great to work with along with all their wonderful staff; so helpful and kind. The lighting just added a beautiful ambience to the room. That’s why we love ambience lighting so much it can disguise a whole room or just add to the beauty of it. We also provided our photo booth which we customized the print design to tie into the game.

We loved Seth and Tara’s “out of the box” thinking and the quirky uniqueness of their wedding while still staying traditional enough. It fit them and made it “their” wedding. Thank you Seth and Tara for letting us share your special day, we loved working with you and getting to know you and your wonderful families! Also thank you to Kirk of Amyx Photography, Tara’s cousin who was their photographer for all the wonderful pictures!

These two were happily married in July at a little Catholic church in downtown Sacramento, Saint Elizabeth’s Catholic Church. It was so cute and quaint. They had a family Priest that had married all of Richard’s family before him marry them and kept the tradition going. These two were so fun to work with, we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them! They are so genuine and responsible and funny, all our planning sessions wee full of laughter.

We had the luxury of going from place to place with API Limousine. Dani was so professional and accommodating! Made the day flow easily and got us to everywhere we needed to be. The Reception was held at the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria, such a gorgeous building. Please enjoy all these pictures (except the lighting one, we did that) courtesy of their wonderful photographers CinZo Photography. They also had some delicious food from Hannibal’s Catering. We had a lot of fun with their whole awesome wedding party! They had quite the entrance, the room is very long and they all got to walk it. The wedding party had to keep the energy in the room till Richard and Andrea entered and I think they did an awesome job! We did little blurbs about each person and a mini love story about Richard and Andrea. It really made it intimate and helped all the guests get to each each person in the wedding party with some laughter.

So many fun things and details about their wedding. We provided some basic soft amber and soft rose uplighting to enhance the building and a photo montage. They are not as popular as they use to be but if you are sentimental they are a really great touch. Everyone was in tears, a great way to re-live memories and to see their lives before they were brought together. One of my favorite little details was the favors. Richard’s aunt made oreo pops for everyone. So cute and man did she put A LOT of work and detail into everyone.

We are so grateful for all our clients and the relationships we make with them all. These two are no excpetion! I mentioned after her wedding it felt like we broke up cause we talked, emailed, texted so much prior to the wedding and it ended. :) Thank you Richard and Andrea for letting us be a part of your lives for such a special day.
