Up Lighting in a Barn

This barn was a hidden treasure. When we got the call from Katy Higgins from Cosmopolitan Events to assist with some lighting needs we were so excited! Katy’s clients Chris and Courtney were looking to create a atmosphere that was unlike any other. No detail was overlooked. From the extravagant centerpieces to the wall pieces to the classic cars it was an event to remember.

Chris and Courtney are from Southern California and the barn was in Lake Almanor in Northern California. A destination wedding it had to be! She knew what she wanted and was able with the help from her wedding planner Katy to create this magical romantic setting. With no electricity available we provided electricity, functional lighting, parking lot lighting and ambiance lighting for inside the barn. It was A LOT of lighting. We trekked up there Friday for set up and the wedding took place on Saturday then tear down on Sunday.  Schnack Studios captured all the beauty of this wedding. They did a PHENOMENAL job. Beware pictures galore!! I couldn’t just pick a few they capture so much detail. Enjoy!

Tent at Le Rivage in Pink

Now this is no Rachelle picture but it let’s you see the ceiling in Pink! (We took it) The walls were green too, but can’t see it here.

We LOVED this couple, sooooo cute and fun! I could go on forever about how wonderful they are but I will refrain. They were a treat to work with and so fun. They were married June 20 at Le Rivage Hotel in their tent outside. It was a beautiful day and great vendors. Shannon at Le Rivage is awesome, we heard over and over about how awesome Scott’s Seafood was (caterer’s with hotel), everyone was talking about it. We also got to work with the phenomenal Rachelle with Rachelle Photography. She got some adorable pictures and captured all the “brightness” of the day. Casey and Chrissy had their Ceremony in the back on the lawn next to the tent and the reception inside the tent. It was a little windy but didn’t blow the happiness of the day away. We did songs for all the wedding party intros which they ate up and had a lot of dancing!! Here’s their songs and some pictures (ok a lot, too many to choose from) from Rachelle, check out her blog for more.

Ian and April

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

I love them! We did Ian and April’s Wedding March 21. They were married at the LDS temple in Folsom, Ca and had their Reception at Lincoln Hills Golf Club in Lincoln, Ca. It was so beautiful. I loved their colors and their centerpieces, it was a first for me. Her dad is Jim Tenney with Chocolate Fountains of Sacramento. he did some amazing things with his fountains at her wedding. They had milk chocolate, white chocolate, caramel, cheese and bar b q sauce. They had all kinds of things to dip in the variety of fountains, it was amazing. Picture Perfect Photo Booths were there too running a photo booth which is always fun. They had props, hats and all kinds of other things to wear as you take pictures. We did lighting which added to the ambiance she wanted. I loved everything about, it was a huge wedding but things flowed so well. We also did a photo montage for them which was nice to have looping throughout the night. Here was their songs and pictures:
